In this blog I posted the commercial I worked on during my internship at Check The Gate. It was a commercial for Angola, one of the former colonies of Portugal, where – just like in Portugal – they love football! Enjoy the 30 second commercial for ‘Ngol Lubrificantes’ and leave a comment if you like or not.
The commercial was shot with two Red One cameras and the post production was done in Tobis, the first post production house in Portugal.

Wow, what a cool commercial! What role did you play in the production, the whole process?

i was involved from the beginning (casting, scouting for locations, et cetera) till the end of the filmmaking (post production)
on the set I worked & learned with the Director of Photography (DOP) – choosing compositions and stuff and learned a lot about lighting and from the director.
Biggest learning point for me, kind of an eye-opener i suppose – was that it made me realize I’m working in the right field! I finally know – at least in long way – which direction I want to go
I would love to be a DOP one day or – obviously a director.. these are the two hardest jobs to get in the filmmaking world, though
but no guts no glory, right!?
how’s your internship going!?

So for the English speaking people I will make a summary.. he did great work!
